Biographical Note

McKendree Llewellyn Raney was Librarian of the Johns Hopkins University, 1908-1927, having served first at Acting Librarian beginning in 1903. At Hopkins, Raney contributed to the plans for Gilman Hall, completed in 1915, and constructed to preserve the design of the University's departmental library system.
